Schools After TSNS

Choosing your child’s next school is an important part of the TSNS journey. Whether your family is considering a public, independent, Jewish, or other educational setting, we are here to help you navigate the process and find a school where your child will continue to thrive.

Because we know each child so well, our teachers and school leadership are valuable partners as families think about what comes next. We encourage families to begin these conversations early and to reach out to Melanie, our Director of Early Childhood Education, with questions about the process or to schedule a conversation about their child’s next steps.

For families applying to independent schools, Melanie works individually with parents to help them understand the local admissions landscape, consider schools that may be a good fit, and navigate the application and recommendation process. Each fall, alumni families representing area schools come back to speak at an Independent School and a Public School Parent Panel. TSNS also hosts admissions coffees, giving families opportunities to hear directly from area schools.

Our graduates go on to a wide range of schools throughout the Washington, DC area, including:

  • Independent Schools: Beauvoir, Capitol Hill Day School, Georgetown Day School, Green Acres, Lowell School, Maret School, Norwood School, Sheridan School, Sidwell Friends School, St. Patrick’s Episcopal School, Washington International School, and others.
  • Jewish Schools: Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School and Milton Gottesman Jewish Day School.
  • Public Schools: DC Public Schools and public schools in surrounding Maryland and Virginia communities.

Wherever your child’s next chapter takes them, we are proud to support your family along the way—and we love hearing from our alumni about all they are doing after TSNS.
